  • About: From both clinical and practical experience as well as from a research perspective, my greatest interests in interventional radiology are within three areas: 1. The radiologic diagnosis and interventional radiologic management of vascular anomalies. I am a co-lead in one of Canada’s largest practices offering interventional radiologic therapy for vascular malformations, with our team’s related research and publications cited hundreds of times in the scientific literature. Am the co-founder and currently co-chair of the Forum for Interventional Radiology in Vascular Anomalies (FIRVA), which is an organization that meets biannually. 2. Interventional radiologic management of dialysis access. Serve as a clinical lead within a team offering full-spectrum dialysis interventional service for a large patient population and coordinate/host multidisciplinary renal vascular/dialysis access rounds. 3. Acute catheter-directed intervention for massive pulmonary embolism. Currently functioning as the radiology clinical lead in the creation and maintenance of a multidisciplinary program for acute management of life-threatening pulmonary embolism, commonly known as a pulmonary embolism response team (PERT) within our institution. Have recently been appointed to serve as the chair of a national multi-disciplinary committee responsible for the creation of national guidelines establishing the role of radiologic intervention in the management of acute pulmonary embolism.
